This past June, my husband and I got married at the Eglinton Grand and were very impressed by the venue’s decor and staff’s professionalism. After scouting many other potential locations, the Eglinton Grand was a clear choice for us. Not only did the venue itself possess an elegant vibe but it was weather-proof for the day’s activities as it was all indoor. The venue’s event planners were key in the planning process as they were able to bring to our attention many items that we had not even considered. All our guests were absolutely charmed by the venue and all it’s special characteristics. From the red carpet entrance to the grand hall, every small detail made sure to add to a perfect wedding celebration ambience. We can’t emphasize how much we both loved the venue!!! We were both extremely satisfied with our choice to celebrate our special day at the Eglinton Grand. We wished we could re-live it all over again.

We had the pleaser of hosting our wedding at the Eglinton Grand last month, and I do not have enough good things to say about the venue and the staff. I wanted somewhere that was unique, easily accessible and exclusive to just our event, and the Eglinton grand ticked all those boxes. It is an old 1920’s art deco movie theater, they have managed to retain a lot of its old charm and beauty which is something that I immediately loved about the venue. We opted for the red carpet, had our movie title in the marquee, we had black white movies and shows playing in the background and a popcorn cart for late night, all adding to ambiance of the movie theater vibe. Our event coordinators Teresa and Sarah were very helpful, prompt at replying to any inquiries and did a great job at keeping me on track (sort of, I was not a very organized bride), there were an absolute delight to deal with. I had made a mistake with timing on the invitations, and Teresa and Sarah worked with me to find a solution by extending the cocktail by one hour. The operations manager Joe took care of us very well on the day of and made sure we were well hydrated and fed. The food was fantastic, I’ve had many people come up to me and say that this was the best wedding food they had ever had. I would total recommend this venue for a wedding or any event.

Great place for a wedding venue! Came here for my friends wedding in May. It was beautiful decorated with a big dance floor where the band could come down and join. Open bar during the beginning at the top of the staircase and then another bar on the ground floor. Very delicious food. The flow of the wedding was excellent!

My husband and I had our wedding last week on July 6, and we could not have asked for a better spot to celebrate! We had our ceremony upstairs in the gallery with a reception of approximately 200 guests immediately following downstairs in the main hall. We wanted a particular type of wedding, and not a traditional banquet hall. This wasn't even our first choice, but once we saw the venue, we nailed it down right away. The Marquee lights, the movie posters and all the small details of the theatre really added all those touches that made our party extra special. Their coordinators (Rebecca and Sara), Operations Manager (Joe) and AV Manager (Ari) were not only professional, but easy to get along with and made the whole process seamless - they were the extra push that made the night of our dreams!! The only complaint we received was there was just too much food and not enough stomach room (not a bad complaint at all!). Highly recommend to anyone looking for that special and unique spot.

Formerly The Eglinton Theatre, this historic landmark has been restored to its original 1936 grandeur, recapturing the elegant design and sophistication of this majestic facility. Boasting one spectacular ballroom, the venue is exclusively yours for the evening. Holding true to its art deco décor, The Eglinton Grand is adorned with rich woods including mahogany and ebony, elegant marble, beautiful wainscoting and period furniture. The balcony level creates an ideal private cocktail area. The venue can host events from 100 to 450 for a sit down dinner and cocktail receptions for up to 700 guests. In addition to the main ballroom, The Gallery Room can be used for ceremonies, break out areas or as an area to enhance your event. Capacity of this room is up to 225 guests seated theatre style
