What a lovely venue. Surrounded by a little forest listening to first class music! It is the jewel of Ancaster!

We chose the grounds at the Fieldcote Memorial Park and Museum as the venue for our outdoors wedding of approximately 180 guests. We hired a company to set up a tent on the lawn in front of the bandshell, and had food trucks drive into the parking lot to cater for the wedding. We communicated with Brandi at Fieldcote and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was extremely helpful in guiding us with the booking process, and provided excellent advice on many aspects of planning other details of the wedding. The venue itself was fantastic. There were many little spots around the museum and the grounds that our wedding photographer was able to pick out and use for pictures. We were incredibly happy that we were able to have our wedding at Fieldcote, our guests loved it, and we would recommend it highly as a venue to others who would like to do a DIY wedding. A few considerations for any others who are considering Fieldcote as a venue for an event: 1) Given the residential neighbourhood, no loud music is permitted past 11PM (this was perfectly acceptable to us), 2) Parking capacity onsite is limited and the nearby church (a 2 minute walk away) is willing to rent out parking spots if you contact them ahead of time, 3) The one bathroom in the museum can develop a line up depending on the number of guests present – consider renting portable bathrooms, 4) Depending on the weather, your guests will appreciate if you have sunscreen and bug spray available for their use.

Spent 30 minutes or so walking around on a Thursday afternoon. Great place to learn more about the history of Ancaster. Staff are very friendly!
