Nice farm with animals for the little ones. Went for the breakfast buffet. It was really good for the price. Would recommend this.

Not impressed with the food quality and food was cold! Then we waited more than 10 minutes for the maple taffy on the snow and after waiting in the windy field we decided to leave.

First off - 1 star reviews are completely unfair. This is not a 1 star establishment. I hate this trend of binary reviews where everything is either 1 star or 5 stars. 3.5 stars. Summary: Better than most sugar shacks in the Ottawa region, but pales compared to those in the Laurentians. Staff were extremely friendly, and willing to talk at length and answer questions. As a family operation I guess this could be expected, but it was refreshing to me. Food was good, (but not spectacular) certainly better than the last few cabanes a sucre I have been to. It is a true buffet with all you can eat, unlike some in the area where you are served a single plate for the same or higher price. Thus you can definately get your value here, and the food is good enough to want more...again unlike some of the competition. The place was clean and pleasant. They had an indoor play area for children and an area to see various livestock. Most kids in this age dont get to see real livestock in a working farm or have any indication of where their food comes from. There is an opportunity for learning here. If you are in the ottawa area and want a cabane a sucre then definately go check it out. You can definately get your money's worth compared to others in the region.
