A great home for military, serving and retired. Combination of formal and informal occasions all handled in impressive and well maintained surroundings. Good food variety.

Lovely historical establishment, with good food and welcoming bartenders. However they do have a strict dress policy which does not allow for denim (or anything that could even look like jeans as I found out the hard way). Please do respect this dress policy or you risk to run into someone who will remind you in a way which can sometimes be borderline impolite and irrespectful.

The Army Mess is situated in a historical building along the north-side of Somerset Street - West of Elgin. It holds a large formal dining room on the main floor and a a number of smaller meeting rooms/drawing rooms throughout the upper and lower levels. Meals are available daily during the lunch hour, and also on special occasions. This facility is a private Club reserved for retired and serving Army Officer's, associates and special guests. It contains a number of artifacts and military memorabilia.
