Nice place. Reminds me of the downtown of Montreal. Very friendly and nice place for walking and sight seeing.

Beautiful old 19th century building which was originally designed as Canada's first Parliament building ,as Kingston was Canada's first Capital City! The capital was moved to Ottawa during the War of 1812 ,by Queen Victoria . Thus the building was never used as a Parliament. It is now Kingston's City Hall. The Countil Chamber is beautiful & has a stunning chandelier! The Memorial Hall has many historical paintings . It's well worth taking a tour . Note...Public washrooms, in the basement.
