Stayed here in the hostels last-minute. What a pleasant surprise. The lodge was super clean, affordable, and there are tons of things to do in the area including free canoe and paddle board rentals (if you stay at the lodge), a bar/lounge/restaurant (food was good), a rec room with shuffleboard, darts, billiards, fire pit, lounge chairs on the docks,, and hiking trails in the area. Kid friendly. I could see it being very busy here in late June/July. Great place to stay, I'll be back again sometime soon!

My husband and I stayed in the hostel (old staff quarters) in mid-June for five nights. We LOVED it! We pretty much had the entire mountain lodge to ourselves since the busy season didn't start until end of June. Staff was super friendly, free canoe or kayak use and the pool and sauna were great! A slice of paradise during the May/June black fly season. We're going back next year for sure.

I stayed one night in "La Cloche", their hostel with shared bathrooms. The building used to house workers, but was recently renovated into a hostel because of high demand. The bathrooms really are shared; the shower stalls are not closed and not private, there's only a curtain, no changing rooms. It's fine considering the price, just beware. The entrance door makes a loud noise every time someone goes in or out of the building, or goes upstairs to use the men's washrooms. My girlfriend didn't notice, but it kind of kept me up for a good chunk of the night. Again, beware if you are a light sleeper. Also the bed came with a pretty thin blanket; again... it's a cheap room in a hostel. The room was clean, and they supply soap/shampoo and towels. The restaurant has a good selection, the prices are somewhat high considering the food sounds premium but the execution isn't always quite on point. I was fine with it for one night, considering we were over 1h away from any supermarkets or restaurants.

I stayed overnight at the lodge because I was working constructing the new building they are building on site. The lady behind the front desk was very friendly and helpfull. The room that I stayed in was in one of the older cabins. It was very rustic but not in a bad way. The room did not have ac but they did have a fan provided in the room which kept me very comfortable. The bed was very comfy and clean but the bathroom was quite dated and gave more of that cottage/cabin feel. Its located in a small town with lots of nice meal options close by. But my favorite part was the view, the water, rocks, and trees during the day, and the unbelievable number of stars at night. I would reccomend this place to anyone looking to get away from the city and go enjoy some nature.

Food is great, although a bit on the steep side. The back bar with the fireplace is pretty magical. Great vibes. Giving 4 out of 5 stars, because the service was meh. We weren't given menus until 30 mins.. although it was a tad busy at the bar. Great place to come, but expect to pay a pretty penny. ($16 for a burger)
