So much fun! Even the younger kids enjoyed it! The gun battle is always a highlight but the dancing and the farm animals were popular with the kids too. Some of the staff are exceptionally dynamic and go out of their way to interest the children in the history of the Fort. We've eaten at the restaurant twice though and haven't been overly impressed with the service either time. Once there was a bus tour ahead of us who were served buffet style. Even though their group was done eating when we arrived it took a very long time for staff to acknowledge us and even longer to take and prepare our order. The second time our waiter was quick and pleasant but the girl clearing tables thought our kids were making too much noise and asked them to stop. There was only one other table occupied at the time and it was another family whose kid had a stick he repeatedly banged off the floor! Otherwise we've always enjoyed our experience at the Fort!

This is a really fun spot to spend a couple of hours. The kids who work here are crazy talented; many of them are bilingual, musical actors. It reminds me quite a bit of other historical forts I've visited. Bring lunch and eat at a picnic table near the canteen or on the grass; buy fresh bread! Seriously, buy the fresh bread. It's so delicious.

Over the top impressive! $14 admission and worth it (I say this having just visited Grand Portage in Minnesota for free). There are many (20+-) period buildings (surely not original) in perfectly maintained shape. Many, many characters in costume actively interacting with visitors, "role play" amongst the characters, a bunch of sheep, chickens, and goats. A cannon... firing off! It was amazing.

This was great for the kids and parents. Super well maintained grounds. All the staff is well informed on historical issues. They do very well in maintaining character. The bread was excellent. The battle was great. My favourite was the shops and I liked that most of the items are made on site.

Great place to visit and spend a good chunk of a day! There are various activities/"shows" that happen throughout the day, including some axe throwing and fur trading. The attention to detail inside the buildings and homes is great. The staff does a good job engaging with the park attendees and staying in character. The restrooms were very clean and air-conditioned.
