What a gem! I can’t believe we didn’t know about this place. Amazing to learn about local history. Great feeling of connection to our past. Our tour guide Kelly was superb and made our visit exponentially better. Highly recommend.

We've our tour of this very interesting home . It is a place frozen in time. Everything in it is original and used/handled by the family. The story of incredible industry and exceptional tragedy was quite gripping. It was very worthwhile and our guide who has been guiding here for 15 years (sorry can't remember her name) is terrific and knowledgeable and acredit to this historical effort.

This is an excellent place to see history of Hamilton and what shaped our city. Even 5 yr old Granddaughter found the information and buildings very interesting. Well worth a summer afternoon. Can also book room for parties. I believe the tree in front of Whitehern is a Black Willow. I hope this helps.

Great little history tour, better than dundern castle in my opinion, especially if you get a personal tour instead of a group tour, me and my wife got lucky and it was just us and the guide (who was even related to a member of the family that lived there) it's fun and long enough that it feels worth paying but short enough that it doesn't drag on, also if you have a library card it's free so that's a bonus, no bagels to be seen so that's a stinger but hey you cant win them all I guess.
