Lovely tour of both the house and the monument. Not clear when you arrive, especially on foot, that you have to buy tickets at the little house across the road. Nice way to spend a few hours outside as well, so bring a picnic and walking shoes as there is a connection to the Bruce Trail behind the monument.

It is well worth the time to go early in June to watch the re enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek. Volunteers in period costume great to see...and little centres with games for kids and crafts and even clothing from back then. There is an outlet for hotdogs or sausages or hamburgers and fries. Touring the homestead is very interesting as well.

It's got a beautiful outdoors area if you're looking for a good walk. Also leads to the Bruce Trail

This was just a beautiful day for a drive. Lovely area for a walk on the trails. There is going to be a Re-enactment of the battle of Stoney Creek on June 2nd and 3rd. Starting at 10am.
