We can't say enough phenomenal things about The Sir William Mackenzie Inn and the owner Jeremy. We had our wedding there at the end of September and everything was perfect! All the staff took such good care of us and our guests. The food was incredible! The fact that we had the inn to ourselves for the entire weekend was perfect! We had a lovely rehearsal dinner there, all meals were provided for us the next day (with acute attention to allergies) and everything went so smoothly! The space is incredible for photos as well! We feel so blessed that we chose The Sir William Mackenzie Inn for our wedding, it was absolutely perfect. Thank you for doing such a great job!!

Really amazing setting to have a wedding! I was bridesmaid at a wedding at this location. It was a very good experience. The service was beyond amazing. Jeremy the inn keeper is an extremely positive and helpful individual. I felt very welcome, and the wedding ran even smoother with his expertise of the grounds and experience running a full wedding venue. Food was excellent, the wait-staff was excellent and very attentive. Bar staff were also a bunch of nice and hard working ladies! The guest rooms are beautifully done up. The grounds peaceful, lush and green. Only thing I could comment on would be there are some shared, stuffy bathrooms. Showers would really steam up the bathroom and outside hallway, making it a pretty hot and sticky upstairs. However, it is a very old, retrofit, house/mansion so it wasn’t unexpected, or that big of a deal. Plus, there are fans and air-con units everywhere. The shared bathrooms also didn’t have an area to place used towels …making it a bit messy. ALSO … I didn’t see a lot of green initiatives or signs stating green initiatives (recycling, water pitchers instead of bottles, LED lighting, or motion sensor lighting, water saving things, carbon off sets …etc …I don’t know about the food ie. If it is locally sourced or not so I can’t comment on that). If you are looking for an eco-conscious venue I would inquire about this aspect of the inn as I did not investigate. Over all I would recommend this as wedding venue.
