Beautiful place to have a wedding, awesome views and very cool garden. However the food during a wedding reception we recently attended, wasn't as good as you'd expect for the Grosse Pointe area. The food was a let down. The museum items here are very cool and the whole venue has a historical landmark feel to it. Fun place to visit.

Always enjoy the free events at the Summerfest. The band was very good and people were having a good time dancing, especially the kids. They have a wide selection in their bar area which was nice. The only downfall was that the food truck broke down and the food options there were not very good. Ended up going and getting something on Kercheval and bringing it back. Still enjoyed the evening.

This was a great place to have an event. Right on the shores of the Lake Michigan. Great history a grounds. The garden was beautiful.

I was fortunate to perform here for many years as a disc jockey and it remains today one of the areas finest. To play in the grandeur of the Library or in the main ballroom is truly an honor. They were not afraid to let the guests get a little crazy and we were happy to help... former owner of Night And Day Productions

The Grosse Pointe War Memorial has many different programs. I visited to view a Visual Fine Art exhibition, accompanied by a lecture and painting demonstration by Detroit Artist, Angelo D. Sherman. His topic was famed 20th century, Abstract Expressionist, Jean Michele Basquiat. The exhibition was a showcase of Grosse Pointe Artist Association works.
