Sapphire Catering and Events

My brother hired Sapphire to cater for his mehndi event and all was well. On the day they turned up an hour late. No drinks or cutlery had been laid out. Bear in mind this was on the hottest day of the year. We had to go buy drinks for guests. Spoke to the driver who said they got stuck in traffic and the food wasn't ready. Owner claims they came late on purpose. Yes, on purpose. Then came what we paid for and what we got. Desserts were a botch job and not how they were described prior to the event. Tea and coffee was just not provided even though it was paid for. After much back and fro getting excuse after excuse they did refund some of the money. I would avoid using them as they are utterly unprofessional which is a shame as their food is actually very nice.

Last summer we used Sapphire Events to host our corporate event and I just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone involved - from beginning till end the service we recieve was brilliant and the event was amazing! I would recommend!

Avoid this Company! I hired the Leyton great town hall for Oct 2013, paid deposit and paid final payment 2 months before hall date. These people are so difficult to deal with, I called them 3 times a day 5 days a week to arrange for a viewing of hall, so the decorators and caterers could have a look and plan the day. I left messages with Nadia (receptionist) and was promised they would call me to arrange but they NEVER did. Imdad (the Owner) could not be bothered at ALL!! about arranging a time. Mohsen (the part time guy) managed to show me around once but never could contact again. At one point I offered to pay extra for someone to show the decorator and caterers around still I couldn’t get anywhere. Basically once they had my money they didn't care, Asked for them to provide 20 x 10 seater table which mohsen said they can do but on my wedding day they mixed and matched 12 seater tables with 10 seater. On the wedding day, our wedding was running late as weddings do, it would cost £300 extra an hour which is perfectly fine, Instead Mohsen LIED and said “we have another function going on at 6pm” and I had to be out by 5pm just because he wanted to get home. I couldn't believe it. I went back at 8pm and the doors are closed with no lights on or anything, even took a picture with gps tagging and time stamp outside the hall Then after all this, I came back from my honeymoon and ask for my deposit back. It took 3 months to get my deposit. This includes me paying two visits to their little make-do office in mile end, 20-30 phone calls and being promised it will be paid at the end of the week every week for 3 months. Only when I mention small claims court did they cough up. So basically these people are: Unprofessional Unreliable Inconsiderate Liars Once they have your money that’s it. So please do not use this Cash in hand company at all cost. This is one of the most important days of your life. Do let them ruin it.

I recently attended a friends wedding who had chosen Sapphire to cater for their special day, and I can honestly say that he made the correct decision, everything from the food to the colourful decor amazed everyone that I spoke to, I would definitely recommend Sapphire for any special occasion!
