I inquired about renting their hall last week, and after about 5 days someone finally responded after reaching out a couple of times. I was inquiring about a bachelor party, and I told the lady who answered the phone both times that I was looking to host one at their hall. I had to wait for Elaine to call me back, and I finally got her call today. Nobody told me when I originally called that they don't host bachelor party's and no where on their website does it state that. Elaine called me and didn't even ask for me by name just that she was from the VFW Hall and immediately went into "we don't do bachelor party's here at all!" With a very smug attitude. I replied with, "okay, I apologize" and she went on and on about how they've had one and the guys trashed the place and I got the feeling the VFW Hall is above having bachelor party's. I pointed out the fact that I would never have known they didn't accept those types of events and just received more attitude. I have been to events at this hall but from now on, just based on my interaction with the lady that runs it, I would not throw an event there based on who I would have to work with. My group is all adults over the age of 30 and I was treated like I was throwing a frat party there. Thanks, but no thanks!
