3 stars for decent food. Nice venue. At the time of my function,it seemed like there were not enough servers. Otherwise ok

Didn't do any wine tasting but it's a beautiful venue for a wedding

My daughter was married at the Vineyard 3 weeks ago and we have nothing but positive comments for this beautiful venue. We were lucky to have many renovations take place before our date at the venue, it looked wonderful. Russ , our General Manager was very professional and really patient with any requests and truly took good care of us. The entire staff was great and our attendant Nancy took great care of the bride. The food was delicious and displayed nicely. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding or any affair!

Great Easter Brunch with the whole family. There was something for everyone on the buffet and all the kids loved the dessert bar, especially the donut wall and chocolate fountain! We will be back!

I've been to quite a few weddings over the years and receptions often drag partly because cocktail hour is sparse on food, dinner takes too long to appear and the venue somehow doesn’t quite lend itself well as the right atmosphere to celebrate. Not the case with the Vineyard. The rich Long Island landscape, the open air deck with plenty of seating options and the dining room all came together beautifully for a memorable reception at The Vineyard. Part of what memorable is that Eastern Long Island in June can be spectacular. On this evening the sweet smell of honeysuckle traveled through the air and at twilight the sky burst into color with a tangerine- rose-gold colored sunset. The cocktail hour was a feast … for the eyes and stomach. An abundant variety of foods to choose from and the food presentation was excellent as well. Dinner was both fresh, delicious and served in a timely manner. Two of the men at my table felt their gorgonzola steaks were overcooked and the steaks were immediately replaced. In my experience, wedding cakes can often be left untouched as they are dry, bland or simply not good. Again, the cake presented to us during this occasion was really, really good. I found staff polite and most important; they seemed like they were happy to be working and not jaded at serving people who can sometimes forget manners after a few drinks. The building has been in Jamesport for well over thirty years as I remember it as Brasby's from my childhood in Jamesport. It’s been renovated with many modern touches and the gardens complete with waterfall deserve a tour. The double staircase where the bridal party is presented from was well thought out detail in the dining room. If you're looking to invest in an experience for your guests, take a look at venue on the spectacular East End.
