On the lower floor of the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth you'll find Les Artisans, a gourmet grocery store beloved of Montreal foodies. Along side delectable treats from around the world, there is also an excellent butcher and a grand selection of fish and seafood. In the middle of the store is a beautifully designed sandwich bar where any selection of delicious ready made food is available to enjoy. Les Artisans is the perfect place to find a perfect gift for the foodie in your life or to stock up on every kind of rare and delicious condiment. But beware, it is the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, so bring A LOT of money. You'll need it.

Great hotel in the centre of downtown (financial district). The service and staff were helpful and pleasant, and the hotel is clean and well maintained. Bonus huge artisan shop on the main level. Very comfy bed. The only downside to the hotel is the rooms are very small, also initially my room was beside a group of (what sounded like) 8 people. Walls are relatively sound proof but not to screaming guests. Staff was very helpful and I was moved to another room.

I stayed here for about a week in July 2018 for a conference. Rooms were stylish and clean. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Great location. Gym area is pretty well-supplied (with fruit infused water) with fitness classes offered daily. Pool area was quite nice but always occupied by many young kids splashing and screaming haha. So not so fun if you're staying with other adults without kids. Conference facilities were really nice and food supplied over lunches and snacks was superb. Nice connections through the tunnels so it is really on steps away from the VIA rail station. Restaurant/store on the main floor as well as a bar and coffee shop. Well equipped overall.

My husband and I just celebrated our wedding weekend at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. We were nothing less than amazed by the incredibly attentive service and hospitality, the beauty of the newly renovated space, and the small details that the staff organized to make sure the weekend was as special as it was. Not only did we stay at the hotel, but we organized a group reservation (special rate) for our guests from out-of-town. The Fairmont set up an incredibly easy-to-use and personalized website for our guests to use to choose their room-type and make reservations. During the weekend, we received nothing but positivity from all of the guests: everyone felt beyond welcome and comfortable... we felt much more like royalty! If you are looking to stay in Montreal for yourself, or to organize a group reservation for a wedding or event, do not look elsewhere. The Fairmont QE goes above and beyond in every sense. The professionalism and attention-to-detail from every staff member exceeded all of our expectations and our previous experiences in other hotels. Get ready to be blown away!

Very nice and chic hotel. I love the renovations they did in the last year. The look and feel of the entire hotel is great. The only down side is that the rooms feel smaller than they were. The living area seems smaller, the bathroom is very tight, the shower is fancy but the bathtub is super small and there is one part of the entrance way of the shower without a door, which is not good when you are showering, the water splashes everywhere.
