The Northridge Centennial Community Centre is located in the Martensville Aquatic Centre parking lot. It was a little confusing to find as I am not from Martensville. I took my children and husband to the pool last week before it closed for the season and was not too happy with my experience. First, upon paying, the cashier told me my cooler would not be allowed the next time I come as "outside food is not allowed." I have gone to the City of Saskatoon pools quite often with my family and the prices are a lot cheaper both in regards to admission and concession prices. For a family admission, it cost $18.00 and a burger and fries cost about $6.00. The female change room had dirty diapers lying in the locker rooms and did not appear to have been cleaned at all that day. One thing we did enjoy was the pool temperature as well as the blue and red slide. My children spent hours on the slides until my daughter scrapped her knee on the slide stairs. She got quite a large gash and it took the lifeguard quit some time to notice and assist us. However, he just directed us to the first aid office. In the first aid office, the lifeguards and manager did not seem to care what happened to my daughter. I was a little surprised seeing how unprofessional they were when we were in there. A few lifeguards were having a water fight in the room. Overall, I would highly recommend the City of Saskatoon pools opposed to this one. Their admission and concession prices are a lot more reasonable as well as the staff seems to be more professional when looking after patrons.
