What a lovely way to spend a couple of hours! We booked as a family of four and had the raft to ourselves with our guide and the person doing all the work, Mike. The evening started with Chris, the owner of Canmore Raft Tours, giving us a safety brief before he headed off with another group. We set off down the Bow River and... relaxed! This isn’t a ‘white water rafting’ trip, more of a gentle meander down the river. Mike was warm & friendly chatting to us throughout. We even had cheese, crackers and a hot drink provided at one point; all very civilised! We were fortunate to spy a Beaver doing its thing in the water plus a couple of Osprey. The only mistake we made was to not apply bug spray for the trip so got bitten by midges during the last stretch as we headed for the take out point. Be warned! If you are in Canmore and want to explore the Bow River and surrounding scenery at a leisurely pace, book a trip with Canmore Raft Tours.

Great family experience with this local Canmore company. Super easy to book online and the kids loved the experience. The weather was smoking hot so the kids asked to be 'oar splashed' a few times which was great fun. Loved learning about Canmore area geography and chatting about local brewery beer. Good fun!
