Just finished rafting on Bow River with my family. A great outdoor fun experience that I highly recommend with The Paddle Station. The staff was super friendly and made our experience super easy and enjoyable right from the beginning. Easy acces to the start point from the free parking lot. We parked one car to the start point and one to finish. If you can't take 2 cars the company has a Uber account and you can Uber back.

I had several issues with Paddle Station while visiting Canada recently. #1: I had to email and call 3x before I could get a response on if we could book (I brought my dog with me and didn't know if their rafts/kayaks were dog-friendly). We nearly gave up on them... kind of wish we had. #2: When we finally did get in touch with them, they did not mention at all that their shuttle service was not running which meant we would have to walk or pay for a taxi out of pocket to get back to our car. We only found this out after we signed our waivers and paid. Finding a taxi that will take a wet dog back to the car... yep, that was fun. #3: I realized after I left that I left my water bottle and dog's bowl on their picnic table. I called immediately and emailed. They waited days to respond (I had already returned home ~2000 miles away) to tell me they had it. I asked them to mail them back if I paid for shipping (the items were both relatively expensive) and they refused. In general, the time on the kayak was enjoyable but dealing with this horrific staff and sleazy business was not great. Find another place to rent a kayak and save yourself the headache.

Incredibly rude CEO representing The Paddle Station on Kijiji selling new kayaks. I had made an offer of 95% of list price and was countered with removal of the seats for that price. I had pointed out the dis ingenuous nature of the offer given his entrepreneurial background and was laughed and ridiculed at. Stay clear of this company as they don't appreciate customers.

We used this service and at first everything looked great - we had a wonderful time on the water and it was easy to book and everything. However, when we got out at the end, much to our dismay they told us the shuttle doesn't start until 4 PM - something we were never told before - and it was only 3 now. They suggested we uber, but we had both left our phones in the car at the starting station. We told them this and they shrugged. So we ended up walking and using a bus to get back to Shouldice Park, soaking wet on a cold afternoon. It definitely soured the experience for us. So be warned - when they say (optional) shuttle service, what they really mean is (occasional) shuttle service.
