There's only one nice clerk, the boss lady has the absolute worst attitude. She's extremely smug, as if helping you is keeping her from doing something more important. There's two cashier tills, but you can always count on there being a lineup. I suggest you go to the office in Lacombe, they're extremely helpful and nice.

I've been dealing with Sue and the staff of Ponoka License and Registries for over fifteen years for my employer/business related transactions. Their knowledge, helpfulness, and service keeps me coming back for personal vehicles, drivers license, etc. related matters every year. Truly exceptional service. I can only attribute the negative reviews to people who choose to visit at peak times; they are a small office in a small town. Larger centers may have more staff with shorter lines, but I would challenge anyone to find more helpful or personable staff out there.
