We stayed at Cottonwood Campground. It was not private, but still an enjoyable campground. No flushing toilets - you have to drive up to the top of the hill to use that campgrounds showers/sinks.

This is a great river. During the summer the flow is perfect for tubing or just floating down the river. Be careful that you don't get hooked on old fishing gear that is in the river. The fishing in the river is also pretty decent if you go at the right times of the year. In Lethbridge there are some nice paths that go along it, which I would recommend walking. There are nice parks all along the river depending on which town you are visiting. Just remember to pick up your trash.

As far as rivers go, this one has aged well. Old Man river generally dislikes kids playing on his shores, and if their ball falls in to his water, he makes their parents come talk to him to get it back. Old Man river has been around a long time and isn't very happy with what it sees nowadays.. back in old man river's days things were better. less crime, less pollution, traditional river values were still running strong. The "current" state of things makes Old Man river long for yesteryear. I appreciate Old Man river values, so I rate Old Man river 5 stars. Back in my day, you could give most rivers 5stars but things sure have changed.

A good place to visit the water is up so one could take there boat out or any other water craft. It's a good place to have a picknick with the family. And you can go swiming here as well or you could just sit there by your self on the rocks watching the people having fun. There is tons of parking
