The lake the right size to kayak & canoeing. But the lake can be shallow in certain spots an be careful of the fishermen. The boat ramp(put-in) to the main portion of the lake follows a 30 foot clear path through the Lilly pads an reeds. Fishermen will be along this path so be respectful an share the lake. Beautiful views of Mt Bachelor, Broken Top an the South Sister.

INCREDIBLY beautiful. Though I felt like it was about showing off at the launch, how expensive your gear was when I was there. Then again, that's a comment about visitors. The lake was breathtakingly beautiful if a little windy. Clear and shallow, I saw a few small fish jumping but couldn't hook up. Still, we'll go back for sure.

One of my top 5 cascade lakes in Oregon, be patient and prepare yourself for other people being there. The lake is pristine and is very accessible for Kayak's, SUP's and Canoes

Fun lake. Can get pretty crowded. Camp sites are hard to come by so make a reservation.

Just like Heaven. The water was just as clear as the Carribean....... not as warm though. Beautiful meandering water canals that open up into larger parts of the lake. We rented kayaks from a small rental place outside of Sunriver for $42 for 24 hours. We didn't know where to go and we happened upon Hosmer. Unbelievable find. Blue/green water with fish everywhere. It was pretty crowded. Probably say around 5o other people, but it was Labor Day Saturday. Nonetheless, it was still breath taking and peaceful after pulling away from the doc area.
