It's a place downtown Victoria! Smack-dab in the middle of the Old Town! I'm not certain what they do here, I've walked by and wondered. The street level has a variety off retail outlets as well as a lovely assortment of buscars in summertime. At times there have been chalk artists and men playing upbeat drums.

When it comes to the care and well-being of Elk Lake in Saanich BC, I must say that you people have no idea about the eco-system of this lake. We have been living on Elk Lake for 35 years and in those 35 years we have never been able to make a change regarding the high power (jet) boats that regularly use this lake during the warm months. It makes sense to allow 'family-use' boats on the lake, however the high-performance boats are a danger and also erode the bank to such a degree that we are losing our beautiful trees!! We have an asparagus farm and we have heard government agents speak about our license to cut ALL OF OUR TREES!!! just because we are ALR1. How insane is that? We need our owls, sparrow hawks, and turkey vultures to control the munchers. Without a predator, we can only resort to poison. That is unacceptable on a farm!!!!! Please offer me some kind of indication that you CAN communicate with local government to safeguard our lake. Sincerely, Teresa Turgeon Star Hill Farm
