Stayed in Sunrise suite, Mattress was very hard and put my back out, futon in the living area wasn't any better. Bathroom was very tiny with no ventilation, low pressure in the shower and it took several minutes for the hot water to run. Kitchenette has a stove from the fifties. smells of mold and mildew. It's a very old house. When we arrived we were informed the hot tub was not usable, luckily my husband figured out that the bar for the cover was just broken and we lifted the lid ourselves to use the hot tub. We also had to clean it because it was full of carpenter ants. TV is a tube TV from the 80's. There is no DVD player which could be useful for rainy days. Biggest insult was getting charged 25 dollars for leaving just a few breakfast dishes in the sink. ver all, not the best place to stay and will never go back again.the host is lieing we did not leave a mess. other than the beds The host is lieing we did not leave a mess. other than the bedsnot being done. maybe she dkesnt chsnge the bedding not sure The entire room smelled

Beautiful B&B with great ocean views. Comfy room and bed with large window facing Fulford harbor. VERY quiet and relaxing with nice hot tub. Ellie is a gracious and helpful host, she looked after all our needs. Recommended!!!

The Beach House is a lovely haven in Salt Spring Island! Ellie is a wonderful host, who very clearly loves inviting guests to stay at her B&B. My husband and I stayed in the Starfish room and my sister stayed in the adjoining Scallop room for two nights. (This combo would be perfect for a couple with kids!) We were welcomed to the B&B with our names on a sign outside as we arrived, and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies in our room. The breakfasts were DELICIOUS, and Ellie made sure to accommodate our allergies in all of her recipes. She went out of her way to make sure our stay was great - including moving breakfast earlier so we could get off to our kayaking tour. She's very knowledgeable about Salt Spring, and can give you great recommendations for things to do and visit. Would highly recommend staying at the Beach House for a beautiful ocean view, tasty breakfasts and great conversation. Thanks again Ellie!

Terrific location on the Island, and a popular B&B spot. Owner Ellie gave us terrific suggestions for our visit and the breakfast was incredible. Very clean, quiet and well maintained. The view of the water all day and night is beautiful. Highly recommended.
