Invermere to Radium Guided Kayak Tour...AN ABSOLUTE MUST DO My husband and I joined a lovely family of four and the six of us paddled the river from Invermere to Radium. We have done a lot of kayaking over the years but this trip really stood apart from the rest. Our guide ( Sierra? ).....so sorry if I have gotten your name wrong..was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable about the animal and bird life as well as the eco systems along the river..as we paddled along she taught us so much about what we were seeing and hearing and we discovered things we would otherwise never have known ( example: the dead tree that provides housing for so many birds it will always be protected and the holes in the rock that are actually owl and swallow nests..it was fascinating information). The paddle itself was so relaxing ...the river was quiet and the wetlands were accessible so we traversed through many different areas along the journey. We saw bald eagles and mountain sheep and countless birds and some amazing plant life during one of our stops...I'm not sure I've ever seen such large reeds! Columbia River Paddle is a well run and organized company who clearly put their customers first on their offerings. Before we set off, our guide made sure we knew there was water, a first aid kit and even extra clothing in the guide kayak and as we paddled along, the atmosphere stayed friendly, very companionable and positive in every way ( as I mentioned earlier, we have kayaked a lot and not every company takes such good care of their clients). I hope there is another opportunity for us to share a paddle with this group! Very very well done...five stars all the way!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The 2.5 - 3 hr self-guided paddle to Radium (and shuttle back) was a highlight!
