The staff were amazing. The housekeeping that clean the cottages should really be trained properly. I ran big resorts in the past, and I was appalled at how dirty for the price, $199.00 before taxes. The floors were sticky and very very dirty. The lamp above the kitchen table was 3ft long and full of dead bugs, not to mention when you open the fridge freezer door it hits the lamp shade??? I know they are pet friendly which is great, but the red fleece throw on the leather chair was covered in pet hair. Not good. They only have a screen slide door, operative word (screen), that is the only screen in Cottage 2. Now some would say that let's the air flow through. My question Is? Where's the fly swatter? I could go on, but Overall the place is very peaceful. For the price, TLC , is needed. Come on, let's see some improvements, it an amazing location, don't drop the ball.

We have been coming over here on our power boat with our 3 kids every summer for a few days of camping. We pack our boat with our tent and gear and love it here. Lots of grass area for kids to run around. Hot shower washroom and sink for washing up. Tap outside to fill water jug. Every year they may improvements to the place. This year they have a nice deli store with fresh bread or baked goods. Kids love coming here. There is a tether ball and post as well as a homemade swing and a small slide for 2 and under. Marina and area around gabriola are great for fishing as swimming and tubing. Some beautiful beaches nearby (by boat). Also close to Nanaimo if you want to go for a short day trip. We will keep coming back here every summer. Quiet and relaxing. Lots of trees for shade and lots of sun if you get chilly.

Clean. Small. Nice people. All in all this place is an awesome stop if you are coming by boat. One of the nicest and cleanest marinas i have been to. They even have a nice little shop.

It was a good stay. We camped, and they had all the amenities you could want. You had to pay 2 loonies for 3 min of hot water at the showers, which is a little steep, but I think it's just to motivate you to be quick so everyone can shower. I would stay again.

Literally the best experience of my life. 5 stars isn't enough. You will not be disappointed. Please don't tell your friends and keep it a gem 😉
