It might not look like much on the map, but this place is quite a gem. The scenery is beautiful. Because it’s located at a rest stop, there isn’t a ton of parking, so be sure to get there early. The plus side to this is that there are restrooms available. The beach area has a pretty shallow part which is great for young kids and then you can take kayaks, stand up paddle boards, or flotation devices out into the rest of the lake. There is also a cabin that you can rent on the far side of the lake. We love to swim over to the rocks and son on them. The water is not glacier fed, from what I can tell, so it’s not freezing cold. It’s just a beautiful little spot to go on a sunny day to cool off. Bring a picnic and enjoy! Be sure to not leave valuables in your car. The area isn’t necessarily known for theft, but it’s wise! Also, you can hop into town for some ice cream after or head to the river for another swimming spot.

Such a beautiful place to chill out - especially on a blistering hot day. I will be going back when next I can and highly suggest you check it out. Even on a hot day, it wasn’t too crowded and the lake is large enough for everyone to have sufficient space. Parking is a bit limited though.

3 Stars because there's very little parking and it has a very small beach area. Otherwise 5 stars for cleanliness and views!

There is a highway rest area on Lake of The Woods near Chilliwack BC. It is a lovely place to stop for a picnic and to enjoy the view.

Just wondering is the lake swimmable now because Of how hot it is?
