I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Fantastic staff who are dedicated to great customer service, professionalism and safety. High energy, organized and funny - these guys will take you out for tours that are once in a lifetime quality. The area is beautiful and boy, do these guys know their stuff - from tides to winds, they make it so your kayaking experience goes off without a hitch. The tour was well paced even for less physically fit individuals and nobody was left behind. We saw so many amazing wildlife, even fluorescent algae in the water...it was truly magical. Thank you Deep Cove Kayak - you made my summer!

Mike was very knowledgeable about a huge variety of topics as he led our family of 4 on the Deep Cove Explorer kayak tour. Gorgeous scenery and his narrative added to our experience. He changed out one of our kayaks a couple times before we started to be sure that the fit was right and the kayak was in good, clean shape for us. Personal attention and a great tour. This operation has a huge number of tour options that looked awesome! Easy to get to using public busses from the city- give it about an hour. Had a slice of pizza and an ice cream afterward but not a ton to do otherwise in the town, so we didn't linger too long.

I really liked our canoe trip but can't give it five stars. For one, they said it didn't matter how we were sitting in the canoe and one of our canoes just wouldn't stop spinning because the heavier person was in front. We also weren't warned that there was a race that day and we got caught in the middle of it while figuring out how to stop spinning. I think the teenagers working there might benefit from a little more adult supervision and input. Otherwise it was a really beautiful trip!

Went on a Friday. Got there at 10:30am and Tom advised us to do the hike before coming back to do kayaking. Came back and was told that all the kayaks were booked till 3:30pm. Tom walks in a few moments later and recognizes us and it turns out he remembered us and booked one for us! Great service, good quality kayaks. Great experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Deep Cove is best place for SUP and kayaking in Vancouver. This place is your only option for renting there. Gear is good but it's always really crowded and they can't always seem to have your rental for the time that you reserve. That said, it's always better to reserve ahead of time. If you just show up (on a nice day), you likely won't get any equipment for hours.
