We just finished a great day of fishing with Captain Ted and his comfortable, well equipped 28 foot boat "Great White" - and we could not have had a better time. I read with great interest the earlier reviews, and the one by Jon D from 2014 is now too old to have any relevance, or value - this guide is patient, knowledgeable, and not at all in any way disrespectful to the fish, the environment or foul mouthed - I could give accolades, but I will simply say, I'm in customer service, and he can work for me any day! His attitude is sincere, his boat impeccable, his equipment top notch - maintained as would be expected of a first-class captain. OK, the weather was close to perfect (the waters off Dundas Island - like glass), the fish close to ridiculously willing, the bald eagles behaving like show-offs; trying to steal our catch, and if that was not enough, we even saw whales - could it get any better? Oh, did I mention the multiple strikes, the moments when the fish seemed to queue to come aboard, and the laughs when "it was time to move on to a new location", and the next fish struck on that phrase, just when we were about to leave? YES, the boat is very comfortable, and the 4-stroke dual Yamaha engines are whisper quiet; with no smell of diesel - no nauseous odor. And Ted's knowledge of the area is very impressive - no "searching", just fishing - all the good spots were stored in the GPS, and off we went - never a dull moment. But it is not just salmon and halibut - skate, dogfish and flounder - keeping only those that were appropriate - releasing the smaller ones to fight another day - sports fishing at its best! Once back at the dock, Ted expertly prepares the fish to your liking, and off you go, knowing that a day has just happened that you will never forget - the final pic, is of a friend's vacuum machine prep - good idea if you plan to freeze the fish - and with so many, no choice! I can't say I've tried the rest but I somehow I know I found the best - Thank you!

Ted is a stand up guy. I had originally booked a trip for this summer, but had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. He understood and worked to fill the spot for us. Thanks Ted!
