Excellent experience with Turtle Bay! A little confusing initially to find the path down to the rental 'hut', but once we arrived the staff were great to deal with. They were efficient, on top of things and thorough with explaining all the paperwork and the orientation of the watercraft. Would rent from them again if we come back to Wood/Kal Lake!

Sat on the patio and enjoyed lunch, drinks and a great view of the lake. Food was delicious and our server was excellent and very attentive. I highly recommend Turtle Bay and will definitely be back.

Had the worst possible experience with the staff at this marina, after renting a pontoon boat for a day on the water, we returned to extremely rude staff that accused us of “ruining” the propeller of their boat which would cost us 250. We followed the instructions we were given to take while passing through the cannel which was to move the propeller 3/4 up the way to get to the other side of the lake. When we returned the staff claimed they had told us to walk the boat through the cannel and that we completely destroyed the propeller of the boat. The lady who spoke to us was extremely rude to us and when we asked to speak to her manager he was even worse, he spoke to us in a horrible manner and lacked basic customer service skills. Although he had told us that the engine of the boat was working fine, and that he would call us and let us know about any charges that would be taken from our damage deposit, he did not contact us for days and took our entire damage deposit then claimed that he had told us about the engine. This place lacks basic communication skills and they are extremely unprofessional and have a bunch of teens that do not give proper instructions but steal your money. At the end of the day the marina made over 2300 off of us for a 4 hour boat rental. Avoid this marina at all costs if you do not want to lose your money or ruin your vacation.

We rented a boat and wanted to go to kalmalka lake, they gave us instructions on how to get there but none of the 2 staff that helped us bothered to inform us to turn off the engine and walk the boat through the canal. On return there was some propeller damage, but The mechanic informed us that there is No damage to the engine what so ever but will have to repair the propeller.around $250, A few days later they added propeller damage and damage to the Engine charges over $1500, eventhough we were told the engine was fine the day before?. The staff is super rude and have no knowledge of basic customer service. We understand there was damage to the boat but their staff wasn’t doing their job of giving proper instructions either. The boat probably had engine damage prior to, they just needed someone to blame it on. Will never return and will make sure no one else I know does. Bunch of SCAMSTERS.
