Excellent exhibits, friendly and helpful staff, and a well stocked activity area. It's not a large facility, but it's very focused on a few key topics so there's still plenty to learn while being able to see everything in under an hour. Excellent for a short visit for younger families. As a bonus, there's an indoor play area in the shared building so kids can burn off any extra energy before or after towing the museum. The only real downside for us was that there was a distinct wet basement odor when we visited, I don't know if that's a regular problem or if we just had bad luck on the timing of our visit.

I brought my 2 grandsons ( 8 and 11) here for a visit. The front end staff were friendly courteous and helpful. They explained what we were about to experience, where to go and gave us a history of the exhibit and its contents. The exhibit itself is very well laid out has an easy to follow/read program and is enjoyable. We all learned new and exciting facts about the area and its history. My grandsons enjoyed the entire exhibition The 8 year old had to do it twice to ensure he didn't miss anything. I will be a returning customer!

The place is a fun and affordable destination. The $18 family is a good option. 30 minutes is ample time. The mosasaurs are the jaw droppers of this place. But for us, the kids room at the end was great too. The sand box where they can do a dig was genial, kids were lost in play for a long time. The gift shop is loaded with some neat stuff also.

Visited the museum for the first time this week for the unveiling of the newest Mosasaur! I was very impressed with the collection of fossils they have and the the displays were awesome. The volunteers were so friendly and knowledgeable. I learned so much in such a short time about some of the fossil discoveries in Manitoba! Me and the kids absolutely loved our visit. Very family friendly. I will go again :)!

I would highly recommend visiting the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre. The centre is wonderful and well thought out; you can download the "CFDC Audio Tour" app to your smart device for a detailed tour of the displays.
