We (my husband and I), traveled Nova Scotia for 8 days and decided to stop here to raft the Tidal Bore! What an experience!! This natural phenomenon is incredible and our guide, Amber, was fantastic. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. We decided to do the 4 hour tour and enjoyed every minute of it. You will get soaked, and you will get muddy! We went the first week of July and found that after you get wet, you are VERY cold (many of us were shivering). The water was extremely warm but the wind was brisk. I would recommend dressing warmly. Be prepared to throw out all of the clothing you are wearing. The showers are warm but communal - two tents, one for men and one for women. Be sure to have your change of clothes ready to go, as you are too muddy and wet to go rifling through your luggage! Lastly, I'm not sure why you're asked to arrive an hour ahead of time. We were the only ones who arrived that early, and for no good reason, as we then had to kill time waiting for our tour. I would say arrive 15-30 minutes ahead and make sure you're prepared with your waiver form already filled out, etc. We did not end up staying at the resort over night, we stayed at the Tidal Bore Inn, about a 20 minute drive towards Truro, and would highly recommend that you check this place out to stay overnight!

Absolutely the best and most professional group of tour operators I have ever met. Happy to book again.

Great and awesome experience. The 4 hour trip is a bit long. The 2 hour trip would do perfectly.
