My wife (Wendy) and I recently purchased a boat that was on consignment at Lakeview Marine. The person (Joe) that we dealt with took the time to speak to me over the phone regarding this boat. Joe had all the info that I needed to make the 250 km trip worth while. When we drove up to his place of business he treated us with respect and professionalism. We did end up buying the boat. Joe bent over backwards to make sure that we were satisfied with the purchase. If I lived in the Port Perry area I would not hesitate to do business with him again. Well done Joe! It,s nice to see that there are good owners out there that care about the customer. Thanks again. Wendy and Jim. Well an update on our boat. We are very unhappy with the guy that owned the boat. He assured us that the boat had a new floor put in it. Well half of the floor was done but not fiberglassed. Thanks for not telling us the truth now we have to spend a large amount of money to put a complete new floor in. Thanks again for not being honest. I guess we didn't get a good deal on the boat after all

Credibility and trust, how to lose it the lakeview way. Winterized my boat at Lakeview, first time , motor had been running like a top all year. Before going out this year I stop in ask do I have to do anything to start it up, I was told no, it may smoke a bit for 30 seconds because the cylinders have been fogged but other than that nothing. Drive to a lake and try as I might , no start. call them while at the dock they say I must have a gas issue. The next day I take the cowling off and see that a small tube is disconnected from the back of the plastic gas filter bulb. Call in, the service person says yes they as standard practice always disconnect this for some winter venting purpose. I ask why was I not told when I specifically asked twice already. Gives me an excuse about lot of people having gas issues. The fact that I asked twice and wasn't told a tube was disconnected as a standard practice , and only divulged after I discovered it myself upsets me. A cynical person might think the disconnected tube might be a revenue generating situation. I don't know. But what I do know is that Lakeview has little to any credibility with me , Its unfortunate but I have no trust that they have my best interest at heart. After I reconnected the tube myself , went out and sure enough the motor runs like a top like it did last year. Frustration a 1 hour drive both ways and a wasted day were my reward for professionally winterizing the boat.

Beware & Go Somewhere Else... Very hard to get them to do what they say. Stored my boat there with them going to sell it last summer on consignment. They never took a picture of the boat, listed it on their website and decided to tell customers that it was $10,000 when we had discussed $7,000. They then told me it was worth $1500 when we discussed them buying it. I sold it myself for $6500 once I realized they had no interest in selling it. They did over $1200 in unauthorized repairs, and it cost me thousands of dollars with it sitting in their back lot while I paid over $1000 in storage. Absolutely recommend these folks. We’re going to be purchasing a boat soon and this is where we’re planning to do it simply because of the awesome staff and service.
