While I don't usually write bad things here is why I scored it so low. Poor etiquette with helping myself and my friend out of the kayaks. I told the man that I was very bad at getting in and out. I don't have the arm strength to push myself up. He seemed to want to rush us out. He was slightly condescending and not very friendly about it. Not personable at all. Not very welcoming. It was my friends first time and a little more compassion, or words of advice would have been great. The last time that I rented a kayak there, no one came to help me out. There were teens working and not one came over I sat there for many minutes, and got out myself eventually, in where I tipped it over and went in the water. The price I feel is kind of expensive for an hrs worth of rental $16.00 and for that kind of service? I recently went to Gould Lake conservation area, and their prices are better, the lake is much nicer and the staff was much more friendly, I even gave the young guy a tip. Sure it's a drive (30-40min) but take a drive and have a better experience!

Excellent customer service. It was friendly, prompt, and informative. We rented stand up paddle boards and the prices were reasonable. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the rentals don't track very straight so it over works you to keep it in a straight line, but then again it's not likely to get top of the line boards when renting. So while the rental equipment left a little bit to be desired, the customer service was great. I definitely recommend Ahoy.

Bare boat charter: reasonably priced, clear communications, well tuned boat, everything works on board, solar panels - don't need to run engine to charge batteries, good large fridge, mosquito screens. Very beautiful area, a lot to see.
