Awesome place to buy a boat and a Pinup Boarding Stand up Paddle Board

Jul 22, 2017
I write this review to account for my experience here since October 2016. I had my boat listed through their brokerage services. I also hired them to perform some corrective maintenance to repair vandalism and winter prep. Invoices were sent to me electronically via email over the course of the winter. I paid them as they came through their electronic portal. No updates or explanations were provided. I asked for updates/explanations via email and telephone which were largely not returned - nobody in the service department answers the phone. My concerns were raised to the site manager on several occasion. Nothing seemed to have been done. Even my insurance company could not get a hold of these guys. This was a clear breach of their own "Marine Industry Customer Commitment" listed on their website. On the brokerage front, information did not flow at all. I was seeking input from them as professional sales people to make price adjustments as necessary based on customer viewing/feedback. This didn't happen. The boat sold in April of 2017, but it took over 7-weeks to close the deal. They did little to work in my best interests to close this deal letting the purchaser take their time to get a mechanical/survey. They also screwed up the transfer of ownership through the MTO for the trailer. I had to make a loss report for a missing plate. I made a special trip to Keswick to settle any remaining debt and deliver all other equipment that was agreed upon in the sale.- their payment portal stopped working and, again, nobody answers the phone. After the deal closed they slapped me with a $1100.00 invoice for work that was not authorized and again without explanation. After a discussion with the site manager, they reversed the charges. A month later, they invoiced me for the insurance deductible for the insurance claim I made, back dating it to October 2016. Needless to say I was not happy, as this should have been collected when I came up in person. Pride Keswick does not adhere to their "Marine Industry Consumer Commitment" as posted on their website: 1. They failed to provide explanations of work done - even when asked; 2. They failed to provide a time for completion of work, and did not provide updates 3. They did not obtain prior approval for overcharges, or for performance of work. I gave them nearly $10,000.00 in business. I understand now that I am but a plebe in their eyes and they have other customers with bigger bank accounts than I. I would not recommend Pride Marine Group for service or sales. There are other marinas out there. For Pride Marine Group management, if you are reading this, please remember I hired you because of your "Marine Industry Consumer Commitment" policy as a Certified Marine Industry Dealership. Stop making excuses for poor services. I took you up on your statement "This is our commitment to you. You should expect a higher standard of professionalism when working with us. Please hold us accountable to that expectation." It is clear that you don't care.
