We just returned from our 2 week Greek sailing trip. The boat was spacious with our own private bathroom and the captain very knowledgeable, we saw things and experienced things that we would never do on our own. Every night we had a fabulous dinner that the captain always arranged. The Islands were all a little different each stunningly beautiful and we saw something new everyday. The weather was always sunny and hot which made the swim stops a must. The trip was very well organized starting with the reservations captain Steve and Sharon made. All our questions were looked after including hotel bookings and car rentals. Greece will always hold a special place in my heart and I can't wait to do our next sailing adventure in French Polynesia with Poseidon Charters.

We have now done two Greek charters with Poseidon - both were amazing wonderful experiences. The first was a family vacation with our kids and we had so much fun we decided to come back a second time with a group of friends. A very nice aspect of the crewed charter experience is that if you like to sail, they encourage that as you can take the helm, set sails, and trim lines. On the other hand, if you prefer to relax you can let the skipper take over and go read a book, take photos, or socialize with friends. It is also so nice to not have to worry about provisioning the boat or cooking. The food was great and we learned a lot of great tips about Greek cuisine. Of course, dinners are all in in ports and Poseidon is very well connected and gets you tables at the best places. The flotilla is the other nice aspect of the trip. We made great friends on the other boats and it really enhanced the whole experience. If you are bare boating, and not experienced in sailing the Mediterranean, I would highly recommend going with the flotilla. Each morning before setting sail they have a skipper’s briefing and the experienced skippers give advice on routes and the days itinerary (it is very nice to have this local knowledge). Also, the big boats get into port first and the experienced Poseidon skippers are waiting for the bare boat skippers with dock space set aside and assistance with the sometimes hectic and intimidating med mooring process. Overall, it was a great and unique way to see the Greek islands and do some wonderful sailing. We hope to do the French Polynesian Islands with them next!

To preface the experience on Poseidon Charters, we were a family of seven with two young boys and a senior. None of us had any sailing experience at all. Visiting the Greek islands has been on my bucket list since I was a kid, and it did not disappoint. This is one magical place. I can't begin to descibe the views, the food and the adventures this trip gave us. What topped it off was the other couple we sailed with were absolutely wonderful and became part of the family. Just like all the other posts, Steve and Sharon have put together an incredible itinerary, which is organized to the tee. The boat itself was top shelf with lots of space, individual heads, and a great sunning platform. Steve's knowledge of the islands, sailing, and local spots was quite evident throughout our trip. I personally took interest in learning to sail and fell into its spell for sure. Kathy and I are working on our next family sailing trip with Steve soon. Mike Kenopic

We did the 2 week cabin charter in Greece last month with 2 nights in Santorini in the middle. It was awesome!!! The itinerary was ambitious and worked - a few long legs, swim stops most days, time ashore and visits to a few hilltop towns, optional hikes to temples, amazing dinners at local restaurants (sometimes islands off the beaten path), & a few other surprises. The captains of both cabin charter boats were exceptional (deep knowledge of sailing the Cyclades and adept at getting an overnight mooring in small harbors). As former sailboat owners it was great to be on a beautiful heavy Ocean Star monohull well able to handle some brisk winds. We loved helping out with anchoring, sail changes, & time at the wheel. Breakfasts and lunches were great and the camaraderie on both boats and with other boats in the flotilla a big plus. We hope to return.

Couldn't have asked for more! Steve and his crew were dynamic and professional. Spent a week aboard Poseidon's flotilla from Ios to Athens, with greek Captain Akis - between him and Steve I learned so much about the places we visited and picked up some valuable sailing skills. The pace of the trip was perfect: slept in until around 7:00 -8:00 am, a few hours of sailing and time on land each day with great meals and great company :) Loved meeting the other guests. Highlight of my summer!
