Beautiful nature preserve within 45 minutes of Ottawa. Good walking trails, picnic area and kayaking. Parking is $3.00 for the day. If canoeing or kayaking note that sometimes the water in the bay is too low for water crafts. Not sure how one can know the status in advance. Enjoy the wildlife!

One of my favourite hiking areas. A few of the trails are groomed for people with mobility issues. Great year-round access too.

The site is beautiful and great for walking and hiking especially with animals. One issue however is that the parking machine rarely seems to work for credit cards. Some trails are also significantly overgrown with poison ivy so be diligent!

There are some nice level trails around here. Don't look for the old mine, it's not in the area of the trails and on private property. Trails are well marked.

Beautiful place, some trails are stroller friendly. Amazing wildlife, well taken care of facilities, and breathtaking views!
