The lake a peaceful. The view here is very beautiful; it is like heaven. If you walk to the end of the dock and stand there, you can feel your connection to the lake and livings. The water is semi-clear; you can see lakeweed, but it'd be a bit scary if you keep look into it because you cannot see through the lake; it is too deep. The color is muddy green. There are fish swimming in the lake and a crane flies by to rest occasionally.

Signed up for adult kayak instructions as advertised. When we arrived we were told to paddle around lake(keep in mind I have never been in a kayak) . Absolutely no instructions, instructor in motor boat (without life jacket) wandered around our group and at one point was at the total opposite end of lake. He clearly did not know how to use kayak(admitted it) . Spoke to others in group who felt same way. Left in frustration after 1 hour 15 minutes when we were asked if we wanted to try out canoe. Totally unprofessional and quite dangerous. Want full refund. Do not believe false advertising.

Very good instructors. I learned a lot about how to kayak. True advertising. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

The atmosphere of Richmond Hill Canoe Club needs a little work, and the service could definitely be improved on (the employees can be a little abrasive), but the food more than makes up for it. I'm definitely coming back!
