Was worth the trek out there. Usually we are big canoe trippers, but with a recent injury we had to find a way to get out to camp but without too much physical effort. This was the perfect solution! We drove up to our adorable cabana, which had a great view of the lake from our door, a cook Fire pit, a couple of Muskoka chairs and a picnic tables. It was a hot weekend with the average at night temperature was 26/28 degrees, so we super appreciated the fan that came included in the cabana. The shared bathrooms with showers were exceptionally clean for any campground I’ve stayed at. The downside I would say was that there wasn’t a ton of privacy from our neighbors, but we ended up sharing a beer with them so can’t complain. Alex was great about popping by and checking in if we needed anything. Worth the trek out there and I think we may come back and connive our friends to all rent the place out together, would be great for family reunions.

We had an amazing time at Golden Lake this weekend! Alex was great for checking in on us and making us feel welcome. Our site (Cabin #12) looked directly onto the water, and the walk down to it was easy. The cabins were clean, and came with a bed, mini fridge, small side table and plug-in fan. There was enough space on the floor for a twin mattress for our son to sleep. The beach area was clean and quiet. The game room had more than enough activities to keep a 9 y/o entertained, and also had wifi. The washrooms were always clean - easily the cleanest camping washrooms I have ever seen. The garbage/recycling and organic waste area were always clean too, and easily accessible. My only complaint, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the cabins/resort, was that it was incredibly hot at night in the cabin. When we come again, we will be sure to bring a mosquito screen for the cabin door, so we can leave that open at night.

We love this place and go every summer. Clean cottages and a beautiful lake - this is all we need. Since last year we have become fans of the Russian bath. Hot leaves treatment - this is something that should try before you die.
