Amazing People Here! The club itself, the docks, and the scenery are all amazing, but what really stands out are the people! I only got to experience BQYC for a short time, but they made my experience amazing. As a complete novice to the sport, they took their time to help me get everything ready and ship-shape. I'd like to thank everyone at the club for all their help, and thank Commodore Steve a great deal for letting me keep my new (to me) Grampians 26 on land for the amount of time he did. Have a great season and many more to come!

BQYC has many 5 star things about it and some 1 or 2 star things about it. It is historical. Est.1867. It is mostly member run. It is a great financial deal for the money. It has great docks. THE BAR IS VERY NICE. The lounge and washrooms do need modernizing but are clean. Racing sailboats is very good with phrf, one design, and Jr. sailing. But because it is member run with many many volunteer hours, people can tend to become overbearing and cliquey. The Constitution makes it very difficult to make change. Clashes between the old guard and new can occur. But who's perfect. Some will love it. Some won't. But I think that's normal.

I was a 'student' of one of there sailing camps, and it was great. They taught sailing in a fun way. Only problem is that sometimes they were too forceful on what you could or could not do.
