Great fresh water fishing. Lots of open water to enjoy. The lake is the highest point of the Trent-Severn Waterway. The waterway descends to Georgian Bay in the northwest, and to Lake Ontario in the southeast. It is the highest point to which a vessel can be navigated from sea level in the Great Lakes-Saint Lawrence River drainage basin. The wonderful town of Coboconk is located on the north side of the lake. Docks right in town to explore and grab a bite. Balsam Lake Provincial Park is also located on the lake.

Beautiful lake. First time in this area and it was definitely worth the drive there. Lots to explore and a great place to just put your feet up and relax.

Beautiful lake! If you’re looking for a place to cottage for the summer this is where to be! Busy lake but big enough you can find some nice quiet spots. Always friendly people and constantly waving to you as you pass by. Amazing atmosphere!
