Small (5 miles or 8km long), well populated, quiet lake that is not overcrowded. Public access unknown. Spring-fed, yet the lake is fairly warm.

Lovely 27 hole public club. If you are only doing 9 holes, you do North. This nine isn't as well maintained as the rest, but it is interesting and challenging. Prices are reasonable and if you arrive early, you can usually walk on to do nine holes.
