I showed up with a decent sized list including trying to find a small esoteric part from a 30 year old cabin cruiser. I've looked everywhere. Trust me. They didn't have it (because nobody has had it since the 80s best I can tell), but I had the great fortune of having Peter help me out and by the time I'd left, we had a workable solution that solved a problem I hadn't solved in years. Peter's attention and service is exemplary. It may very well be the best service I've had anywhere. To get through my list, when necessary, Peter got me talking to the right staff to check another item off. For many many marine items, there just is no substitute probably outside of Kingston, Montreal or Toronto and I'm grateful to have them around.

Unfortunately, a local monopoly for boat stuff which might explain that customer service sentiment is low to none-existent. Very cramped showroom, bit of a rats nest, wide range but still thin on inventory. The owner created a scene scolding me when my daughter knocked a rail pipe over. After spending a good bit of doe there; I can't say it's a very welcoming place. And maybe they should post a "No Children" sign on the front door. ...There was no safety "incident"...the girls bumped a metal holder sticking out from the shelf next to the floor. There was no "Everything alright?" They were made to feel like they did something wrong and that is unfortunate. If it's such a safety concern, then reorganize the store.

Always have every boat related part you can imagine. If they don’t have it, they can get it. The prices are great, they have a price match guarantee. The service is excellent and the staff are the most knowledgeable in the industry. If you are a boater of any kind, you will love the Chandlery. You could spend hours walking the aisles looking at all the cool things. If you have a boater in the family, a gift certificate from here is the best present you could ever give.

Great resource in Ottawa. Very important to have a brick and mortar shop like this here. They have either had in stock or helped me source things needed for several projects including some non marine applications. Be sure to support them.
