This 1800's period village is packed full of sights and entertainment. There's a carriage ride, a boat towed by a horse, and a train. Great for kids of all ages. Make sure to get some freshly baked bread! And definitely plan to spend all day there. Each house/shop owner has lots to say to give you a good understanding of their role at that time.

Amazing place to visit! We spent about 4.5 hrs there, it wasn't enough time to see everything, and with young children in tow they were out of steam. The boat ride and horse wagon ride were included with admission which was great. There aren't strollers to rent so bring your own. Also there is a lot of horse poop on the walk ways (authentic I guess??) The only real disappointment was the gift shop. There were a lot of generic souvenir junk ... I was really hoping to see more handmade items from the village. I wanted to purchase something authentic but couldn't find anything 🤷

Was a great experience! Loved the boat & carriage ride! Loved the buildings and animals. But... animals... pigs were not treated right! No water or food for them...water container was huge and bone dry!! 😭 The roads to walk on were also full of poop...should be picked up for the pedestrians! Disappointed!!!

This place is great and super educational. We went on a very hot day which resulting in the sun beaming down super hard and dry and there's very little shade or places to cool down once you are in the village. Entrance is a bit on the pricey side but I would say everything is worth it. Views in side the village are nice as well. Shoutout to the lady that placed the schoolteacher she was great.

We went on the train. Short ride was great for our children. We had a nice walk and did not pay admission to the museum. We also got fresh baked bread. Yum! The white comes out around 11am and the brown around 2 or 3pm.
