Nice lake to spend some quality time. You can eat in the restaurant, however the best part would be to do some exercise with boating and kayaking over there. Staffs working there are friendly and will take care of you while getting on and off so no need to worry. I am giving 4 stars because the lake is not big enough to go away from the city crowd.

Rented a pedal boat, ate Mexican, and rented a canoe with two tweens on a Friday. Loved the convenience of boating close to home, some wildlife that kept us busy (ducks, geese, dragonflies), safe calm waters, and decent rental rates. All equipments - pedal boats, canoes and, please, over used and dirty life jackets - could use an upgrade or at least a wash. The Mexican restaurant had friendly staff, huge margaritas, decent food, and a great view. An easy stay-get away.

Great spot to spend a few hours. Rent a canoe, kayak, or paddle boat with the kids, spend an hour or so on the lake, then come back and take in a meal either at Mexicali Rosa's or Malone's. Parking is across the street and 2 hours of validated parking available from the restaurants.

Went out for a day on the lake. Rented two tandem kayaks. Staff was friendly and very accommodating, and the prices were well worth it. Honestly one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. 😀

There is no safety of renters. Right now in front of my eyes a boat with three children below age of 14 turned and the rental company had no one to watch over kids while they rented to several groups of kids. One kid couldn’t swim and was struggling for breath and all other kids blew whistles trying to catch attention of guards.Me and my wife took two kids on our pedal boat to help and third kid swam to shore far off to get the guard. Make sure you never send your kids alone as the company is careless.
