Gear boat ramp. Well organized with a lot of socks. Tons of parking. Just need a Mi park pass sticker to use the boat ramp for free.

IV been coming here since I was 16 years old 3-5nights a week to sit on a rock and think or walk my dog quietly, ,IV never seen any trouble from any of the visitors , ,, ,I'm 56 now ..this is the 1st year enforcing the hours closed 11pm till 4am, ,never any trouble or problems till the condo's$$$$$$$$$$ were built and occupied, ,,condo's almost sit in the parking lot, ,I would go all hours, ,have a pass, ,👮 r rudely kicking people out at 1 second after 11pm, ,,people pay 11$a day plus pay taxes and we the people own the water but have been locked out of the park and all water in the great lake state by the government and the rich land owners, ,,why do we let this happen? ???realized 3 weeks ago it was a few mins past 11pm so I turned around only to be questioned by boarder patrol, ,,I'm sure of the reason people r being kicked out, ,,condo owners r complaining there r people in park after hours, ,,its all about the timing, ,,I understand there r set hours but y now the enforcement, ,there is nothing there now but a parking lot and water, ,,what's the problem? ??problem is the rich condo people thinking they own the park and water now, ,,I will continue to go because its belongs to all the people just not the rich ones, ,,,,finding it impossible to get access to our water in the great lake state, ,,there r people that walk at night, ,,y the time limits? ???????pissed off in macomb Co.

You need a state recreational pass to visit, lots of people shore fishing, and when I visited there were 16 swans swimming around the whole time. Great place to visit just for the view and to watch the boats or to do a bit of fishing.

I read online that over the last couple of weeks Snowy Owls had been spotted here (as well as elsewhere in Michigan). We left as soon as we could for this lovely spot on Lake St. Claire to try to find some and we did! Hard to give the place fewer than five stars, when it performed so well for us. We even saw a bonus bird, a Redhead Duck. Two life-birds for me, thank you very much!
