I recently hired Doug to build me a set of davits for my Beneteau. I was quite pleased with the custom design that he created for me. I now have a unique davit "system" that integrates well into the classic French design lines of my boat! Function and beauty ...dare I call it art! I have found Doug to be helpful, considerate and trustworthy. You will be very happy with the work that he does and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs stainless work done on their vessel. If you have Doug build either an arch or davit system for your vessel you will not be disappointed with the product he provides.

The sentence was 11yrs of hard labour. From a bare hull and deck to s/v Angel Eyes. One of my goals was to NOT be the boat at the dock everyone knew was built in someone's back yard. If Klacko Marine was good enough to fabricate the stainless for a number of reputable yacht builders then I am sure they would be good enough for me. After a decade of doing business with Doug someone "might" convince me there is another fabricator as good but no one would EVER convince me there is anyone better! From pulpit to our option loaded radar arch and everything in between including many custom interior pieces. I would design a piece or Doug would and either way it was always completed to the highest standard. Many pieces on Angel Eyes are load bearing. Doug is an engineer as well as a fabricator so when it came to safety or any other area of structural concerns Doug always had the last word. We have been cruising now for three years and counting. Every harbour, port or fuel dock we visit someone always comments on our beautiful boat. We have had quests aboard that own modest 25 footers to luxurious 60 ft Swan's. Some guests have looked VERY close at our stainless and ALL are impressed. Of course we are proud of Angel Eyes. Not one person guesses she was built by a couple in their backyard. THANKS DOUG!!!

When I drew up a simple component, Doug listened to what my needs were & added some of his input. Improving on my initial thought and something I overlooked. Great service and quality work. My place of choice for all stainless needs.

Doug worked with Jeff at Precision Canvas to design and create a cockpit cover for our Ranger Tug. All summer we continued to find aspects of the design that delighted us. As we moved about the cockpit access, supports were always just in the right place, Doug really know how to put the human element into his designs. When working with Jeff for the canvas you have an unbeatable team.

Doug has done work on our family boat a few times in the past. He explained how the work would be done each time and did the work quickly and professionally. He was also very careful to protect our boat from any potential damage during the process. He is an honest and helpful guy!!
