This was our second summer and second cabin at Sunset Point - and we can't wait for our third summer. The cabins are perfect - super clean, fully stocked with all the necessity's - including outdoor chairs! We have stayed in both the Trapline Cabin and Muskie Manor - both are equally great. The owners go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. They will take you and show you around the lake and all the best fishing spots and even where to go blueberry picking. As per my husband, the fisherman of the family, the fishing is great. He and our daughter have brought home supper more then once. Speaking of our daughter, she is 12 and loves swimming of the cabin's docks. Having ladders at the end of each dock makes this so much easier. She also enjoys using the kayaks that are there. This year they added a pair of Adirondack Chairs to each dock - perfect for viewing the great sunsets! I can honestly say that we are hooked on Sunset Point and it has become our new "lake get-away".

My wife, two teenage boys, and I recently spent a fantastic week at Sunset Point in Jul ‘18. We also rented one of their boats for the week and had a fantastic time fishing and exploring the lakes. The area is gorgeous, with loons close by and eagles often spotted in the early morning or late evening from the screened-in porch. The owner was very pleasant and eager to advise on the best locations for fishing or sightseeing. The log cottage was beautifully balanced with rustic ambiance and a fully equipped kitchen to easily prepare the catch of the day for a fantastic supper. Thanks for making our vacation truely memorable.

Our family made precious memories here this year, and we will be coming back to make more! From initial booking to check-out, the experience was phenomenal. The information on how to get here was meticulous. The activities and orientation to the area by the owner gave us a a quest for adventure. Rarely does a place balance hospitality and privacy as well as Sunset Point; the owners were always available to offer activities and tours as was convenient for our family. The cabins were clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable. The laundry facilities were a blessing! The fish cleaning station was clean and well stocked, and well-used as our novice fishing family caught over 40 fish in our week here! Also, the final invoice was reflective of the rates discussed during booking; no extra charges as other places sometimes do. This place truly is a gem!

We just recently returned from a weeklong stay at Sunset Point and what a gem it is. Our hosts Alan, Margaret, Marie, Ryan and Matt (and their dogs Maggie, Harley and Ali) made us feel super welcome. The resort is set on a beautiful point with a spectacular view of the Winnipeg River system, but still close enough to town for gas and conveniences. If you're looking for a quiet, family oriented place for a vacation with world class fishing, then look no further. We stayed in the Boat House cabin, which was very unique. It is literally floating on the water, which gives you spectacular views from the private sun deck and cool breezes off the water for great sleeps at night. There are other, larger cabins for bigger groups that are wonderfully cared for and provide every convenience, including free Wi-Fi for those who can't put down the cell phone for a week. Cellular service is 100% as well. Prices are very reasonable and Alan will be sure to give you the rundown on the local area, how to navigate on the big water, along with hot spots for fishing. In a world where everything has gone "big or go home", it's nice to know that there are still intimate operations like this where you can go to get away from it all for a while. We couldn't recommend Sunset Point highly enough.
