Lovely location, but the restaurant needs a lot of improvement. First, we had to wait a long time to be seated despite having a reservation, and even though the place was almost empty. Then, the staff didn't seem to understand that when people request no gluten, and emphasize that it makes them very sick, the should not be served breads. I asked if I could have the French onion soup without bread in it, and I was told it was possible. The soup arrived without the bread, so I thought the waiter had understood. But I was then astounded when the hamburger I'd requested without the bun was served on one. After asking the waiter to take the bun back, and saying I'd eat only the burger, he presented a salad topped with croutons! My husband reminded him that I must not have gluten, and he apologized and said he'd speak to the chef about it. I could only think that the young man didn't know what gluten was or in which foods it could be found. I am very careful, and try not to raise a fuss by ordering items I know will be safe. I don't expect the chef to prepare something special for me, as I'm quite content to make do with whatever I can order that is easily altered. If that weren't enough of a disappointment, our entree was served while we were still eating our appetizers, and the bill was produced before we'd completed our entrees -- without even asking us if we'd like dessert. (This was after he'd mentioned they serve a wonderful gluten-free dessert.) The staff were in such a rush to close the restaurant that we had to hurry our meals. It's a shame because we were taken to the club by members who suggested that we join. It really is a lovely facility, but our dining experience didn't leave us with a very good impression. I hope they teach the staff about serious food allergies, and remind them not to rush diners out of the place. We'd planned to enjoy dessert and watch the sunset from the club, but went home instead.
