What a great place to take a stroll for all ages. We went twice, once in the afternoon and once in the evening, and both were really nice. There's lots to do there like shopping (local Craftsman and artists), food (vendors and food trucks) and activities (a zip line park). The views of the river are great (the clock tower, Six Flags, Habitat 67, biosphere, Ferris wheel, etc.) You'll also get to the see the Old City from a different vantage point. They even had a pretty good fireworks show one night. You can also walk/bike along a very nice path farther south. Definitely a must see while visiting.

Very pretty area of the city. Nice view of the river. Many beautiful old buildings with nice architecture. The giant ferris wheel looks kind of cool, but also a bit on the touristy side as do the row of shops that look kind of like a row of carnival game huts. There are many nice little shops in the area and you can just walk right down the street to go from one to the next.

Historic site of Montreal that is a delight to witness. From cobblestone roads to old church buildings, you will feel as if you have gone back in time. However, it is known in Montreal for being a tourist trap. I would suggest visiting when there is a festival taking place there or simply to go sightseeing, but if you want to eat anything or buy souvenirs, I would suggest going elsewhere. The prices are very inflated in Old Port. It's a beautiful place to go, but it could also bleed you dry.

There is a lovely park along the Old Port. We visited the Science Center three times, and truly enjoyed it. It was great to see families walking, rollerblading, etc. We plan to visit again very soon as there were restaurants, the observation wheel and other attractions which we've not yet had a chance to try. Infinitely many more tourists and English-speaking folks here than in other parts of Montreal. Fireworks were there several nights, as part of the fireworks competition!

This is my new favorite place. I'm already planning a trip back with the family. The old buildings and the atmosphere of Vieux Port is just amazing. The people are very friendly and you're surrounded by amazing affordable food. There is so much to do and the area is very family friendly. What more can you ask for?
