This place no longer has qualified teachers teaching adults. You won't learn anything but bad ballet here. The teacher repeats her class every class because she is lazy and under skilled. You will yelled at really aggressively and told if you don't like it you can leave class. Seems like an interesting business model. Repeat the same routine every class, cause you are lazy , and make no corrections cause you don't know ballet well enough to notice the correction needed. Save your time and money go to rock center for dance, or kwak ballet. All are way more fun, better teachers, cleaner, and very supportive fun enviornments. Learn some real dance, go elsewhere.

Steven Becker, the co-owner and director here at Backstage. This man has absolutely no compassion or regard for anyone other than himself. Case in point...as my girlfriend dropped off a homeless woman we're helping to get on her feet down the street from this business, he complained that what we are doing is like feeding feral cats and inferred that they should be put down as such! Excuse me?! What happened to his humanity??? Why should we further disenfranchise those that literally have nothing?! It may be a bit more of a drive, but my daughter LOVED Summerlin Dance studio on Buffalo and Charleston...and the instructors there certainly have much better attitudes than this man!
